Sarvsrestha Mahila Microfinance Foundation

Sarvsrestha Mahila Microfinance Foundation is based out of Sikandarpur. We are specifically in Laxmipur Village, and the mail comes through the Lilkar post office. It’s a very local setup. We don't have a big street number or a fancy building. It’s just a spot in the village where we handle microfinance things for the women around here. Being in a place like Laxmipur means everyone knows everyone else. We don't have to do much advertising because people just walk in. It’s a simple office. We handle the money side of things and help with small loans or whatever is needed for the local projects. It’s not a big bank or anything corporate. We just sit down and talk to people one on one. Sometimes the power goes out or the internet is slow, but we make it work. It’s about being there for the community in Sikandarpur. We don't have a mission statement on the wall or anything. We just know what needs to be done every morning. The village life is slow but we stay busy with the paperwork. It can be a lot to keep track of, but we manage. If you are looking for us, just ask for the microfinance place near Lilkar. Most people can point you in the right direction. We just want to keep things running smoothly for the ladies here. It is a plain and honest way of working for the village.
