Operating a place like this near Ghantaghar means there is never a quiet moment. Being right in Nayaganj, specifically around Nai Dal Mandi, we are surrounded by the hustle of the market every single day. You can hear the sounds of the traders and the traffic from outside the windows. It’s a busy area, and that reflects inside too. Since it’s a children’s hospital, it gets pretty loud with kids crying or running around. We have some colorful things on the walls to help them feel a bit better, but it’s mostly just a practical space. The building at 52/43-A has been around for a bit, so it has its quirks, like that one door that always squeaks when you open it. We see a lot of parents coming in looking worried, and we just do what we can to help their little ones. It’s a lot of work, and the days are long. Sometimes the tea stall down the street is the only thing that keeps us going during a long shift. We don't try to be anything special, just a place in the community where families can come. The floors get scuffed up pretty fast with all the boots and shoes coming through, but we clean them up at the end of every night. It’s just how things go here near the clock tower. We've been here for many years and keep doing the same things.
