Our office is found over on Dhara Road in Faizabad, right at the spot marked for Sri Jagannath Sinha. It’s a busy enough area, especially during the middle of the day when everyone is out on the street. Being in Uttar Pradesh, the weather gets really hot in the summer months, so we spend a lot of time making sure the fans are working right. The building itself is older, with thick walls that hold onto the heat sometimes. We don't have a big neon sign out front or anything. Mostly, people just know where we are because they recognize the landmarks along Dhara Road. Inside, the space is organized but definitely not minimalist. There are stacks of files and various notebooks scattered across the desks. It’s the kind of place where you know exactly where everything is even if it looks a bit cluttered to an outsider. We have a tea guy who comes by twice a day, and that’s usually when we take a break from the screens. Faizabad has its own pace, and we try to stick to that. No one is running around in suits here. We wear what’s comfortable and get through the daily emails and calls. It’s practical work in a practical setting. Sometimes we have to deal with the dust coming in from the road, but we just wipe the desks down and keep going. It’s just us doing our thing in a corner of Faizabad.
