Aadi Shakti Shree Durga Vidyalaya

This school is tucked away in the Pure Jinna Mishra area of Tashipur. It is quite a bit away from the main hustle and bustle of Faizabad city, which makes it a bit more peaceful for the kids. Aadi Shakti Shree Durga Vidyalaya is a small, local school that has been part of this community for years. The building itself is plain and practical, with a small open area in the front where we gather in the mornings. We don't have a lot of the fancy equipment you might find in city schools, but we have the basics like benches, desks, and blackboards. The walls are painted a simple shade of yellow, though it is fading in places where the sun hits it directly. Most of the teachers and staff come from the nearby houses, so everyone knows everyone else’s name. It feels more like a big family than a formal school sometimes. During the monsoon, the road leading up to us can get a bit muddy, but we still make it in every day. We handle everything from the lessons to the daily maintenance ourselves. It is a lot of hard work keeping a school running in a small place like this, but it is what we do. We aren't looking for any recognition; we just want to keep things going for the families who live around Tashipur.
