Travellers

If you find yourself on Konnur High Road in Ayanavaram, you’ll probably see our place. We are at No. 312/2. It’s a small office, mostly filled with maps and some old calendars on the wall. We call the business Travellers because that’s what we help people do. Ayanavaram is a crowded area, so there’s always people walking past the door, looking in. We spend most of the day on the phone or sitting at the computer trying to figure out the best routes for folks. It’s not always easy, especially when the trains are full or the flights are acting up. We started this because we liked seeing different places ourselves. Now we just help other people get their tickets sorted. The tea shop next door is where we spend half our time anyway when things get slow. It’s a lot of back and forth with customers who aren’t sure where they want to go yet. We don't have a big corporate team, just a few of us who know how to navigate the booking systems. Sometimes the internet goes slow and we have to tell people to wait a bit. It gets hot in the afternoons, but we have a fan that keeps us going. It’s just a regular local shop where we try to make travel a bit less of a headache for the people living around here. We just like seeing people get on their way.
