So this is the shop run by Mayilsamy P over in Chinna Kannur. The address is Shop No - 3/159, and you have to come via the Pocheyyur route to find us. It’s a bit out of the way if you aren't from around here, but the locals know the spot well enough. We’ve been operating out of this small space for quite some time now. It’s nothing fancy, just a basic shop where we handle the daily business. The road outside can get a bit dusty during the dry season, and it's quiet compared to the big city centers. We open up early most mornings and stay until the sun starts to go down. Most of the work involves talking to people who drop by and making sure we have what they need in stock. It’s just one of those local places where the owner is usually around to say hello. We don’t really do much advertising or anything like that. People just find us by word of mouth or by passing through the village. Sometimes we sit outside when it’s not too hot. The building itself is old but it stays cool inside. There’s not much to say about the history, it’s just a place of work that has been part of the landscape for a while. We keep the books manually and just try to stay on top of the daily chores that come with running a small shop in a place like this.
