Exim Knit Wears

We are located out in Palankarai Village, specifically at S. F. No. 334 on the road that leads to Nambiyur. It is a bit of a drive from the main town, but it’s quieter out here, which is nice for a change. We do mostly knitwear, so the building is filled with the sound of the knitting machines clicking away for hours. It’s a large space because those machines take up a lot of room, and we need the floor area for all the crates of yarn. The village surroundings mean we see a lot of green when we look out the back, though most of our time is spent watching the needles move. We have a small crew of people from the local area who come in every morning. The work is steady, and there’s always a pile of sweaters or shirts that need to be checked for loose threads. Sometimes the power goes out, and everything goes silent for a bit, which is just part of living and working in a village area. We don’t have a fancy office or anything like that. There’s just a table for tea and a small desk for the paperwork. It’s a very straightforward operation. We make the clothes, pack them into the big bags, and wait for the truck to come pick them up. It’s honest work, and it keeps us busy from sunrise to sunset without needing any bells or whistles.
