Safety Officer

If you are looking for us, we are over at Raja Bagicha in Maharaj Ganj. This is Rafiganj, in the Aurangabad district of Bihar. The office is at Iqbal Ahmad’s place. It’s a local spot, nothing too flashy. We’ve been doing this safety officer work for quite some time now. The building is straightforward and sits in a part of town that stays fairly busy. I spend a lot of time on the road, but this is where I come back to write up my notes. Aurangabad can be a tough place to work because of the weather, but we make it through. We have a few cupboards full of safety regulations and old reports. It’s not the most organized looking place, but we know where the important stuff is kept. Rafiganj is a tight-knit community, so everyone knows who we are and what we do. We don't put up big signs or anything. We just focus on the inspections and the training we have to do. Sometimes the internet is slow, so we do things the old-fashioned way with pen and paper. It's just a few of us here, and we don't need much more than that. It’s a quiet life, focused on the task at hand. We show up, do the inspections, and come back here to finish the day. It’s just how we operate. Nothing fancy, just hard work and a bit of patience. We just keep going like this every week.
