Ankita Agro Engineering

Our place, Ankita Agro Engineering, is situated at K- 37 in the MIDC Area of Waluj. It is a big industrial zone, and sometimes it feels like it takes forever just to drive from the main gate to our spot. The workshop is usually quite warm, especially in the afternoons when the sun hits the metal roof. We have a lot of heavy parts laying around, and you have to be careful where you step so you don't trip over a piece of iron. I usually start the day by checking the machines and making sure the oil levels are alright. It is a lot of manual work, and our clothes usually end up with a few dark stains by the end of the shift. We have a small table in the corner where we keep the water cooler and a few stacks of paperwork. The paperwork always seems to pile up faster than we can file it away. Outside, the road is dusty and there are always people moving crates or loading up small vans. We know the guys at the units next door, and we sometimes borrow tools from each other if something breaks. It is a noisy environment with the sound of grinding and metal clanking, but it feels productive. We don't have any air conditioning, just a few big wall fans that move the hot air around. It is just a regular engineering shop doing what needs to be done.
