Vasant Charitable Foundation

Our foundation is based in the village of Ekurka, which is part of the Kaij Taluka in Beed district. It’s a quiet place, far away from the noise of the big cities. We don’t have a modern office with glass walls. Instead, we work out of a simple building right here in the district. Most of the people in the village know us by our first names. We’ve been here for quite some time. Life in Beed is different, and we like the pace of it. Our daily work involves talking to our neighbors and seeing what help is needed. We don't have a big team of experts. It’s just us, some local people who want to do something for the community. The roads to get here can be a bit rough, especially during the monsoon season, so we don't get many visitors from outside. We keep our records in simple files and don't use much technology. It’s a very hands-on way of doing things. We don't have a mission statement on the wall. We just wake up and do what’s necessary for that day. It’s a humble setup, but it’s where we belong. We’ve grown up in this area and we know the struggles people face here. It’s just a plain, honest effort to make things a little better for the folks in Ekurka and Kaij.
