Vainya Agro Tech Private Limited operates out of a flat in Chikalthana, specifically over at Kasliwal Poorva. Gajanan Dattatray Patil is the one who handles the main work there. We are right in the middle of Aurangabad, which is a big change from the actual fields where we spend most of our time. Being in an apartment block like A-1-6 is a bit different for an agro company, but it works for keeping the books and meeting with suppliers. We focus on the technical side of farming because honestly, the old ways are getting harder every year. We are trying to figure out better ways to manage our water and our soil. It is not all smooth sailing. Sometimes we argue about which machines to buy or which crops are going to sell better in the city markets. Gajanan has a lot on his plate keeping everything running between the office and the farms nearby. We started this because we saw that big companies were making all the money while the guys in the dirt were getting nothing. We aren't trying to be some huge corporation. We just want to use a little bit of technology to make our lives a bit easier. It’s a lot of phone calls, dusty boots, and long drives back and forth to the fields. We are just a small team trying to make sense of the modern farming world.
