Apex Motor Body Engineers

Our workshop for Apex Motor Body Engineers is right on the Truba College Road Byepass. It’s a dusty spot because of all the heavy vehicles zooming past on the bypass, but it’s the best place for what we do. We spend our days working on vehicle bodies, mostly trucks and bigger vans that need heavy-duty work. There’s always the sound of hammers hitting metal and the bright flash of welding going on in the back. It’s a tough environment, especially when the wind picks up and blows the dirt in from the road. We have a small crew of guys who aren't afraid to get their hands dirty. Most of us have grease under our fingernails all the time. The Truba College road is a good landmark, though students usually don't wander this far down toward the bypass. We have a lot of space outside to park the big rigs while we wait for parts or for the paint to dry. It’s a straightforward business. We don’t spend money on fancy signs or a big office. Most of our time is spent under a chassis or measuring out steel frames. When the sun starts to set, we usually wash up and lock the gates, hoping the traffic on the bypass isn't too bad for the ride home. It’s hard work, but there’s a certain satisfaction in seeing a battered truck look solid again after we’ve finished with it. We just keep our heads down and work.
