Our place is in Shivshakti Colony on Ladgaon Road. We are quite close to the railway station here in Vaijapur, so you can always hear the trains coming and going. It’s a busy sound. I started the agency because there was a need for a reliable middleman for goods around here. We deal with a lot of heavy boxes and crates every single day. My shoes are always worn out from walking back and forth on the concrete floor. The colony is mostly residential but we have our space here for the storage and the office part. Sometimes the rain makes the road a bit muddy, which makes loading the trucks a real pain. We have to be careful not to let anything get wet. I spend a lot of time on the phone talking to suppliers and trying to figure out where our shipments are. It’s not an easy life but it’s what I know. My brother helps me out sometimes when things get really hectic. We don't have any fancy posters or anything like that. It’s just a practical workspace where we get things done. I like to stay late sometimes just to make sure everything is organized for the next morning. It gives me some peace of mind before I go home. The neighbors are nice and they don't mind the noise too much.
