Sriram General Store

Sriram General Store is located in Khadkeshwar, Aurangabad. I’ve lived in this city my whole life and this shop has been my second home for a long time. It’s a basic setup. I have wooden shelves that go all the way up to the ceiling, filled with jars of snacks, toiletries, and cleaning supplies. Khadkeshwar is an old part of town, so the streets are narrow and the people have lived here for generations. I know most of my customers by name, and I know which brand of cooking oil their families prefer. It’s a quiet kind of work most of the time. I spend my mornings sweeping the front and arranging the fresh produce I get from the market. I don't sell anything too expensive, just the stuff people need for their homes. Sometimes the rain leaks a little near the front door, so I have to be careful about where I put the cardboard boxes. I don't have any big plans to expand or anything. I’m happy just keeping the shelves stocked and talking to the people who stop by for a chat. It’s a simple life. I close the shop around 9 PM and head home, then do it all again the next day. There’s no magic to it, just keeping the doors open and having the basics ready for whoever needs them. Sometimes the neighborhood kids come in for a single chocolate and I have to find change.
