S.M. Solar Products Ltd.

Waluj is a busy place, especially where we are at C-187 in the MIDC area. S.M. Solar Products Ltd. has been operating out of this unit for a good bit of time. The sun hits this part of Maharashtra pretty hard, which I guess is good for the solar business. Most of our mornings start with a cup of tea while we look at the schedule for the day. We handle all sorts of solar items. There’s always someone coming in or out, either picking up parts or asking how the panels work. The industrial estate is quite large, so people sometimes get lost trying to find us among all the other factories. It’s mostly just hard work and keeping the inventory organized. We aren't into those big corporate meetings or anything like that. It’s more about making sure the solar stuff we have is ready to go. The trucks come by in the afternoon to load up, and that’s usually the most hectic part of our shift. It gets pretty dusty out here with all the construction and traffic, but we keep the office as clean as we can. We've lived and worked around here for years, so we know the local rhythm well. It’s a straightforward business. We provide the solar products, and we try to do it without making things too complicated for anyone who walks through our door. It's not a glamorous life but it's what we do every single day.
