Skob Farmer Producer Company Limited is based out of Bhalgaon, near Aurangabad. We are located at House Number 257. A group of us decided to get together to see if we could get better results by pooling our resources. It’s not always easy to manage everything on your own when you have a small plot of land. Here in Bhalgaon, most of us grow similar crops, so it made sense to start this company. We aren't trying to be some huge corporation. We just want to make sure the farmers in our neighborhood get a fair deal. The office is a simple room where we store our records and talk about the upcoming season. 431001 is the pin code if you're looking for us on a map. Life around here revolves around the fields and the weather reports. Sometimes we have meetings that go on for hours because everyone has a different opinion on what we should plant next. It’s a bit messy sometimes, but that’s how it goes when you have a lot of people involved. We handle the paperwork and the sales so the members can focus more on the actual farming. It’s a lot of back and forth with the markets in Aurangabad. We’ve had some good years and some lean ones too. We just keep moving forward. It is just a local effort by local people. Nothing more, nothing less. We hope this setup helps the younger folks stay in farming instead of moving away to the big cities for work.
