Shri Gurudatta General Store

Shri Gurudatta General Store is over on New Tahsil Road in Aurangabad. We are in the Madhav Nagr Paithan area, which is a decent place to be. The shop is not very big, but we try to keep all the essentials that a family might need daily. I get up early to make sure everything is ready before the first customer arrives. Usually, it’s someone looking for milk or bread for breakfast. The shelves are filled with things like detergents, spices, and snacks. I have been working here for a while and the routine is the same every day. Aurangabad gets quite hot, so the afternoons are usually slow. I spend that time checking the stock or cleaning the glass jars. It’s just me running the show most of the time. I don't have a big fancy sign, just the name of the store above the door. People from the nearby apartments know they can find what they need here. It’s a practical kind of place. I don't try to make it look like a mall. It’s a neighborhood store where you can chat for a minute while I pack your bags. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to use a torch, but life goes on. It’s a simple business. I just focus on keeping the items people want on the shelves and making sure the prices are written clearly in my ledger.
