Our place is right in the heart of Cidco in Aurangabad, specifically at N 11. If you know the area, you know it’s always buzzing with activity. We set up Shreebalaji Multipurpose Nidhi Limited to give the people living around here a reliable spot to handle their small financial matters. We aren't a big institution with millions of customers. We’re just a small group of people working in a modest office filled with ledgers and a couple of computers that sometimes run a bit slow. People from the nearby shops often pop in to deposit their daily earnings. We also do small loans for those who need to fix up their house or handle an emergency. We don't use a lot of technical jargon because it just confuses people. We’d rather just sit down and explain things in plain words over a cup of tea. The office can be a bit noisy because of the traffic on the road outside, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We don't spend money on glossy brochures or big billboards. Most of our members are people who live within walking distance or have heard about us from their cousins. It’s a very local way of doing things. We just try to be honest, keep the books clean, and make sure everyone feels welcome when they step inside. It’s steady work and we are glad to be doing it here in Aurangabad every single day.
