Santosh Urban Multipurpose Nidhi Limited

Our office is tucked away in Bhokardan, which is out in the Aurangabad district. We are basically operating out of Smt Anandibai Samadhan Patil’s place. It’s a local Nidhi company, which I guess sounds a bit formal, but really it’s just a way for people in our town to save their money together. We don't have a huge staff or a shiny glass building. It is more of a community thing. People from around Bhokardan come in to drop off a bit of cash for their savings or to ask about a small loan for their personal needs. We keep everything very simple because that’s what works here. Dealing with money is always a bit stressful, so we try to just talk like normal people instead of using big banking words. The town is small, and news travels fast, so we just focus on doing our jobs correctly. It's mostly about keeping the books balanced and making sure everyone follows the rules set for these kinds of organizations. Sometimes the office gets a bit crowded on market days, but we manage. We aren't trying to be some giant bank in the city. We just provide a place for neighbors to handle their finances without having to travel too far. It's practical and it serves the folks living around here. That’s pretty much the whole story of who we are in Bhokardan.
