Tandwa Market is always loud and full of people, and our clinic is right there in the heart of it in Aurangabad. Being near the H O means there is never a dull moment. We can hear the vendors shouting and the goats bleating from our front step. It’s a very lively place to work. The clinic itself is quite small, squeezed between other shops in the market. We don't have a lot of space, so we have to be very organized with our medicine and tools. The floor is made of old stone, and it stays cool even when Bihar gets incredibly hot in the summer months. People come in from the villages nearby to see us. We don’t have any fancy technology here. We just use what we have and focus on the person sitting in front of us. Some days the market is so crowded it takes ten minutes just to get to our door. We’ve been here long enough that we know most of the other shopkeepers. We share tea with them when things are slow. It’s a community. Our clinic is just a small part of that bigger picture. We don’t put on any acts. We are just here to help with whatever comes up, whether it’s a stomach ache or a minor injury from the market. It's a simple, honest way to spend the day.
