Pruepi Rice Mill

The rice mill is right in Bidkin Village, very close to the Bidkin Bus Stand. You can usually hear the machines running if you’re standing out by the road. Being in Paithan Taluka, we see a lot of rice coming in from the local fields. Pruepi Rice Mill isn't a modern, shiny factory. It’s a working mill with dust on the floors and the smell of husks in the air. We spend the days processing grain for the farmers who bring their harvest in. The Bidkingaon Post Office is just down the way, so it’s a central enough spot for everyone in the village. When the harvest is heavy, the yard gets full of sacks and the machines don't stop until late. It’s loud work, and we all have to speak up to be heard over the hum of the rollers. The building itself has seen better days, but it does what it’s supposed to do. We don’t have a fancy website or a marketing team. We just have the mill and the people who know how to run it. Sometimes the rain makes the yard a bit muddy, but that’s just how it goes in a village like Bidkin. People stop by on their way to the bus stand to check prices or just to see how the work is going. It’s a practical business for a practical part of the country.
