Patel Sons Farm Equipments

Our family runs Patel Sons Farm Equipments over at Plot No. 1/2 in Nageshwarwadi. It’s a practical kind of place. We have a lot of heavy machinery sitting out in the yard, mostly things like plows and tillers and various parts that farmers need when their gear breaks down in the middle of a season. The ground is mostly hard-packed dirt and there’s usually a thin layer of oil or grease on everything. We don't really have a fancy showroom. We just keep the inventory organized so we can find what a customer needs without making them wait too long. My sons and I spend most of the day with our hands dirty, fixing up old equipment or putting together new units. The neighborhood is quiet enough, though we make our fair share of noise when we’re testing an engine or grinding down some metal. Customers usually come in early before they head out to the fields, so we try to be open and ready before the sun gets too high. There’s a small desk in the corner where we keep the books, but mostly we’re out back. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and sweating, especially during the harvest months when everyone is in a hurry. We don’t have any big marketing plans; we just rely on the fact that people know where we are and what we do. It’s just how things have always been here in the Wadi.
