Aurangabad Standard Silk Mills

We are located in the Standard Silk Mills Compound, specifically at 5-28-119/P/2. If you’re coming from the West of the Over Bridge, you’ll see the entrance pretty easily. It’s an old compound and has a lot of history to it. We spend our days around the looms and the fabric, making sure the silk is coming out the way it should. The noise of the machinery is something you just get used to after a few hours. It’s a big space and it can get a bit drafty or dusty depending on the weather outside. We have a small group of people here who have been doing this for a long time. We don’t really worry about fancy office space; we just focus on the work on the floor. There’s a lot of moving parts to keep track of every day. Sometimes we have to stay late to finish up a batch, but that’s just how the mill life goes. People come and go through the compound all day long. It’s a bit away from the main city buzz, which is nice in its own way. We keep our supplies stacked up in the corner and try to stay as organized as a silk mill can be. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. We don’t have much time for anything else once the machines start up.
