Bagban & Co.

You can find Bagban & Co. over at the Sabji Mandi near Paithan Gate, right by the Shewade Hospital. Being next to a vegetable market means it is very busy from the early hours of the morning. There is always the sound of vendors calling out their prices and the smell of fresh greens in the air. Our shop is in a bit of an older building. It’s got a small front and goes back deep into the structure. We have shelves lining both walls, packed with whatever stock we are carrying that week. It gets a bit dark in the back, so we have some extra tubelights hanging from the ceiling. The hospital being close by means there are always people walking past our door, looking for one thing or another. We have a couple of chairs out front where some of the older guys from the market sit and chat when things are slow. We don't really do anything fancy with the decor. It's just wooden counters and linoleum floors that have seen better days. When the rainy season comes, we have to be careful about the roof leaking a little near the entrance, but we just put a bucket there and keep working. It’s a neighborhood spot, really. We know most of the people who walk by by name. It’s not a quiet place to work, but we like being in the middle of all that activity near Paithan Gate.
