PAHAL NIDHI LIMITED

We are located in Ward No-2, right behind the electric office on Karma Road here in Aurangabad, Bihar. It’s a handy location because everyone knows where the electric office is. PAHAL NIDHI LIMITED is just a small office where a few of us work every day. It’s usually quite busy on this road, with lots of rickshaws and people going about their business. We aren't doing anything flashy. We have some desks, some chairs, and a small area for people to wait. We focus on helping local people save their money. It’s better than keeping it under a mattress, and we try to make it easy for them. Most of our members are small shop owners or laborers who want to put a little aside for their kids' schooling. We don't use fancy software; we still use a lot of handwritten registers because that’s what we’re used to. Sometimes the power goes out, but being right behind the electric office doesn't seem to help with that much. We just light a lamp and keep going. It’s a friendly place. We know when someone’s daughter is getting married or if someone is sick. We treat people like people, not just account numbers. That’s how we like to run things in this part of Bihar. It can be a bit dusty when the wind picks up, but the tea from the stall next door is great. We try to keep things simple.
