Nandini Hospital And Nursing Home is over on Shivaji Nagar Road in Aurangabad. We are pretty close to the Morya Mangal Karyalay, so we often hear the music and celebrations from weddings over there. It is a bit of a contrast to what goes on inside our walls. Being a nursing home, we have people staying with us for a while. The hallways are long and have that distinct hospital smell of disinfectant and floor cleaner. We have several beds and a small kitchen where we make tea for the staff and visiting families. The furniture in the waiting area is mostly plastic chairs because they are easy to wipe down and move around. It is not a quiet place, especially during visiting hours when families bring in food and talk in the corridors. We try to keep things orderly, but with so many people coming and going, it can be a challenge. The staff is usually busy moving from room to room with their clipboards. We have a small garden area out back, but it is mostly just a few potted plants and a bench where people sit for some air. The building is a bit older, so there are always some repairs needing to be done, like a leaky tap or a flickering light in the hall. It is a busy, lived-in place where we do our best for the people who walk through our doors.
