Mumbai Aluminium & Glass

Our shop is on Railway Station Road, down in Buddi Lane. We are over in the Naralibag area, quite close to the Jama Masjid. You can usually hear the calls from the masjid while we are working throughout the day. Mumbai Aluminium & Glass is just a small local business. Being so close to the station means there are always people walking past the lane. The shop itself is often filled with the smell of cutting oil and the sound of metal being trimmed. We have glass sheets of all different thicknesses leaned up against the back wall. It’s a bit dark inside the lane sometimes, so we have to use extra lights to see what we are doing when we are doing the fine work. We don’t have a fancy office area, just a small desk in the corner where we keep our receipts and notes. It’s a busy neighborhood and we fit right in with the rest of the shops. We spend most of our time out on site or right here in the workshop. We’ve lived and worked around here for a long time, so we know most of the people who walk by every day. We just try to do our work without making too much of a fuss. It’s a practical way of doing things, and it has worked for us for years now in this part of town without needing any big changes.
