This hospital and medical college are located in the N-6 area of CIDCO. Since it is a college as well, there are always students around in their white coats, usually looking a bit tired or stressed about an exam. It gives the whole place a different energy compared to a standard hospital. There’s a lot of movement in the corridors, with people carrying books or heading to a lecture hall. The CIDCO neighborhood has grown a lot over the years, and we are right in the middle of it. The campus is fairly spread out, so you end up doing a lot of walking between the different blocks. On a hot day, you really feel that distance. The canteen is a bit of a hub for everyone, and it’s usually where you hear the most noise. Inside the hospital parts, things are a bit more serious, but it’s still a very busy environment. We don’t have fancy decorations or anything like that. It’s a place for learning and for working, so it’s all very functional. The benches in the waiting areas have seen better days, and the lighting is just standard office lights. We don’t try to make it look like something it isn’t. We are just here every day, making sure the students learn what they need and that the daily tasks get handled properly. It’s a lot of routine, but it keeps the place going. It can be a bit of a maze if you are not used to it.
