Marathwada Industry

We are located on the first floor of Braj Niwas, which is home to Marathwada Industry. It’s right across from the Hanuman Mandir, so we hear the bells ringing every morning and evening. It’s actually quite a nice sound to work to. The building is an older one, and our office has that lived-in feel with tall ceilings and heavy wooden doors. We do most of our industrial work from here, coordinating things and dealing with the small-scale manufacturing we handle. The stairs up to the first floor are a bit steep, so we tell people to watch their step. Inside, there are desks piled with ledgers and stacks of orders. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who have known each other for years. We drink a lot of tea throughout the day and talk about the news or what’s happening in the neighborhood. Sometimes the monkeys from the temple area come onto our balcony, so we have to keep the windows shut. It's a bit of a traditional setup, no fancy computers everywhere, just the basics we need to keep the business running. Being near the temple means there's always activity on the street below, people selling flowers or just walking by. It makes the day go by faster. We like being in this part of the area, it feels like home even when we're working through a pile of paperwork and trying to get things out the door.
