Having an ice cream factory as a landmark is actually pretty great, even if we do not go there every day. The office is in a busy little pocket of the area, and there is always some activity going on outside the door. Dic Chowkhemsurpada has its own local character, and we have become part of the furniture here over time. The space we work in is straightforward and practical. We did not spend a lot of money on fancy decorations; we just needed a place where we could sit down and get to work. It is a bit of a smaller setup, but it works for what we need. You can hear the sounds of the street and the factory throughout the day, which just becomes background noise after a while. We have our desks arranged so we can talk to each other easily without having to get up. It is a very hands-on environment. There is always a stack of papers somewhere and someone is usually on a call. We do not worry about looking like a big corporation because we are not one. We are just local people working out of an office near the chowk, trying to do a good job day in and day out.
