Maa Hospital

Our location is right in the heart of Tandwa Mkt. Being in the Tandwa market means we are surrounded by shops selling everything from grain to clothes. It is a very lively place to work, especially on market days when the streets are packed with people from all the surrounding villages. You can hear the shouting of vendors and the smell of street food from our front door. The hospital is a simple building that fits right in with the rest of the market stalls. We don’t have much in the way of a front lawn or a fancy entrance. You just walk right in off the street. Inside, it can be a bit of a squeeze when several families come in at once. We have basic rooms and some old-fashioned equipment that still works perfectly fine. The lighting isn't the brightest, but it’s enough for what we need to do. We often have to talk a bit louder to be heard over the noise of the market outside. Most of our patients are people we see every week at the market anyway. We don't bother with a lot of paperwork if we can help it, just the necessary stuff to keep track of things. It’s a very grounded place, tied closely to the rhythm of Tandwa. We are just a small part of the local scene here, doing our bit while the market carries on around us every day.
