You can find us at the New Market Yard in Jalna. Being inside the ADMC area means we are right in the thick of the spice trade. Every morning the air is thick with the smell of turmeric, chili, and cumin. It can make you sneeze if you aren’t used to it, but for us, it’s just the smell of work. Our space is filled with sacks of spices waiting to be processed or sent out. It’s a noisy place with the sound of grinding machines and people shouting orders. We’ve been here in the yard for quite some time. We aren't interested in being a corporate giant. We just like making masale that people actually want to use in their kitchens. The office is just a small corner where we keep our books and take our tea breaks. It’s often dusty, no matter how much we clean, because that’s the nature of the market yard. We know the other traders around us, and there’s a lot of back-and-forth throughout the day. Some days are better than others, depending on how the market is moving. We don't have a website with fancy photos. We just have our products and our reputation here in Jalna. It’s a busy life, but it’s what we know. We just focus on the quality of the grind and making sure the bags are filled right every single time. It keeps us busy from dawn till dusk.
