This medical shop is located right in the Mayur Nagar Shopping Center in Hudco. If you know where the Hanuman Mandir is in N 11, we are very close to that. Working in a pharmacy in Aurangabad means you see all sorts of people every day. Most come in with small slips of paper from the doctor, and I have to find the right strips of tablets among the hundreds of boxes. It’s a lot of reading labels and checking dates. The shop stays quite cool because of the stone floors, which is good when the Maharashtra sun is beating down outside. We keep common things like bandages, cough syrups, and baby powder on the front shelves. I’ve lived in this part of Aurangabad for a long time, so I recognize almost everyone who walks through the door. Sometimes people just come in to ask for advice on a scrape or a headache. I’m usually busy organizing the fridge where we keep the cold medicines. The shelves go all the way to the ceiling, so I use a small stool to reach the top. It gets quiet in the afternoons when everyone is resting, but the evenings get hectic. I try to keep everything tidy, though the paper receipts always seem to pile up on the desk. It’s just a regular local chemist shop serving the neighborhood. I have to order new stock every Tuesday to keep up.
