Kamalnayan Bajaj Hospital

If you head down Beed Bypass Road, you’ll find Kamalnayan Bajaj Hospital. It’s a big place and it stands out quite a bit from the other buildings around here. The road outside is usually packed with trucks and cars going somewhere else, but plenty of people turn off to come see us. The hospital itself is a lot of concrete and glass, and it takes a while to walk from one end to the other. We don't really have a fancy way of describing it. It’s just where we work. In the mornings, you can see the sun coming up over the bypass, and that’s usually when the first shift is getting settled. The lobby smells like floor cleaner most of the time. We have a lot of different departments, so there is always someone asking for directions to the lab or the pharmacy. Sometimes the elevators are slow, so people take the stairs, and you can hear their footsteps echoing. It’s a practical kind of place. We don't have a lot of decorations on the walls, just the stuff that needs to be there. The doctors are always in a hurry and the families sit in the waiting areas talking quietly. It feels like its own little world sometimes, separate from the noise of the Beed Bypass Road. We just keep the lights on and keep things moving as best as we can every day.
