G.R. Sons Kailash Timber Mart

We've been running the timber mart on Kailash Nagar Road for quite a while now. It's a family thing, G.R. Sons, and we mostly deal with different kinds of wood people need for building or fixing up their homes. The yard gets pretty dusty, especially when the trucks come in to unload, but that's just how it goes with timber. We spend most of our days measuring logs and helping folks figure out what size planks they actually need. It isn't anything fancy. Just a lot of heavy lifting and making sure the stacks are straight so they don't tip over. If you walk down the road, you'll see us there with the wood piles out front. We aren't big on fancy offices; we just have a small desk where we keep the books and handle the orders. Sometimes the weather makes things a bit slow, like when it rains and we have to cover everything up with tarps. We also have to keep an eye on the different types of wood like teak or local varieties because they all behave differently. We're usually around from morning till evening. People from around the neighborhood stop by, sometimes just to ask questions or see what we have in stock that day. We try to keep things simple and just focus on getting the wood ready for whoever needs it. It's hard work, but it keeps us busy and we've gotten used to the smell of sawdust everywhere.
