Out here at M-9, Midc Waluj, the days start early for us at Jain Precision & Forging Pvt. Ltd. Waluj is a massive industrial hub, so there is always a layer of dust on everything and the sound of heavy trucks is constant. We do a lot of forging work here. It is a tough job that leaves your hands calloused and your clothes dirty by the end of the shift. We have a mix of old hands who have been here since the start and some younger guys trying to learn the ropes. The precision part of our name means we have to be careful with the measurements, even when the shop is boiling hot and everyone is tired. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. Usually, it’s just us handling the paperwork on a wooden desk in the corner of the workshop. The tea stall down the road is where most of us head during the break to get away from the noise of the hammers for twenty minutes. Sometimes the machines break down and we have to spend half the night fixing them ourselves because we can't afford to fall behind on the schedule. It is honest work and it keeps us busy. We don't try to sound like a big global corporation because we are not. We are just a group of people working metal in Waluj. The building isn't much to look at, but it’s where we spend our lives.
