Iqra Kirana

Iqra Kirana is located right at Shop No.1 in Silk Mill Colony. If you know Aurangabad, you know the Station Road area gets pretty crowded, especially around the school. We are right near Moin Ul Uloom School, so we get a lot of kids and parents dropping by. It’s a basic grocery shop. We have sacks of rice and pulses sitting out. Some days are slow, while others we can barely keep up with the people asking for tea or sugar. The shop isn't very large, so we have to stack things high up on the walls. It’s a bit of a squeeze sometimes. My family helps out behind the counter when I have to go out to get more stock from the main market. We know most of the people living around here by name. They come in for their daily milk or just a small packet of biscuits. The colony has changed a bit over the years, but the shop stays the same. We try to keep things fresh, but sometimes the deliveries are late and we have to tell people to come back tomorrow. It’s just how it goes with a small business. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just walk in. The fan makes a bit of noise in the corner, but it keeps us cool while we work.
