Hum Azad Hai Welfare Foundation

We’ve been operating out of Nehru Chowk in the Cantt area of Aurangabad for a while now. Most people around here just know us as the group at 422. It’s a busy spot near the main market. We started Hum Azad Hai Welfare Foundation because there were things in the community that just needed doing, so we sat down and figured out how to help. It isn't a fancy office, just a place where we get together to work on local projects. Sometimes the power goes out or the street gets loud, but we stay busy. People stop by when they have questions. It’s mostly just us trying to keep things moving in the right direction for the neighborhood. We don't have a big staff or anything like that. It's just a few of us who grew up around here and wanted to stay involved. The address is 431001 if you're looking for the pin code. We try to keep the doors open during the day, though sometimes we are out on the field. It’s a simple setup. We don't spend much on decorations or signs. The work is what matters to us at the end of the day. If you are walking past Nehru Chowk, you’ll probably see us. We’ve stayed in the same spot since we began. It feels right to be right in the middle of everything where the people are. We just do what we can.
