Hifield- Ag Chem India is based at 35, Nirala Bazzar. It’s a busy area and there’s always something happening right outside our door. We’ve been here for a while now, and the bazzar is like a second home to us. It’s not a quiet place, but we like the energy of it. We deal with agricultural chemicals, so our days are filled with looking at orders and talking to people who come in from the rural areas. We don’t have a big fancy lobby with a receptionist. Usually, whoever is closest to the door is the one who says hello. It’s a practical way to run things. We keep our files in old cabinets and the desks are a bit cluttered, but we know where everything is. It’s just a regular office where we get the work done. We don’t use any of those big marketing slogans you see on TV. We just tell people what we have available and what the price is. Sometimes we share a tea with a customer if there’s time to spare. It’s about building a bit of a connection with the folks who rely on us. We stay open late most days because there’s always one more thing to finish up. That’s just how the business goes. We’re just regular people working in the bazzar, trying to keep things moving forward as best as we can.
