Gurudev Forgings Pvt. Ltd. is located at B-17 in the MIDC area of Ambed. This is a heavy industry zone, so it’s full of large factories and warehouses. Our place is where we do all the forging work. We have massive hammers that make a lot of noise and vibration throughout the day. You can probably hear us from the street before you even see the building. It’s a hot environment because of the furnaces we use to heat the metal. We have a group of workers who are used to the heat and the heavy lifting. We’ve been in Ambed for a long time now. The building is a big industrial shed with high ceilings to let some of the heat out. We have a small office area where we handle the orders and the logistics, but most of our time is spent out on the floor. It’s not a clean place. There’s soot and iron scale everywhere. We work long hours to make sure the parts are ready for the trucks that come to pick them up. Most of our clients are other manufacturing companies. We don't have any flashy brochures or a fancy reception area. It’s just a place where metal gets shaped into parts. We take our work seriously and just try to keep the machines running. It’s a tough job but we’re used to the heat.
