We are located at Dhyan Bhavan on Jatwada Road in Aurangabad. It’s a place called Honaji Nagar, and it's a fairly standard residential area. The school is basically a house that we’ve turned into a space for kids. We call it Varad Vinayak. It’s not a giant campus with big gates; it’s more of a local spot where the neighbors know us by name. I spend most of my day at the front desk or checking on the classrooms. The kids are quite small, so there’s a lot of noise and toys everywhere. The floor is usually covered in blocks or crayons by noon. We have a small outdoor area where they can play, but it’s mostly just a patch of ground. Aurangabad gets very dry, so we are always watering the few plants we have out front. The teachers are mostly local women who have been with us for a while. We don’t have a fancy lunchroom, so we just eat at our desks when we get a chance. The building has some cracks in the paint here and there, but it’s safe and clean enough for the children. Sometimes the water tank on the roof acts up and we have to call the plumber from down the street. It’s just a small, honest school. We don’t make big promises, we just look after the kids and teach them their basics while their parents are away at work.
