Farmate Processed Fruit Clusterfoundation

Farmate Processed Fruit Clusterfoundation is located out on the Kannad-Sillod Road. We share a space with Sanjay Suryabhan Mote's place. It’s more of a rural setting than a city office which suits what we do much better. We work with a cluster of people who are all involved in fruit. Being on the road means we see a lot of tractors and trucks passing by all day. It’s dusty work and there is always something needing to be moved or sorted. We don't have a polished front desk or anything like that. It’s mostly just us sitting around a table or being out where the fruit is handled. We handle a lot of the coordination for the local growers around here. When the harvest comes in it gets very hectic and the days get very long. We might be dealing with pomegranates or whatever else is in season. There is a lot of talk about weather and market prices. It’s not a quiet job. We have to make sure the processing part of the cluster is actually working for the farmers. Sometimes the power goes out or a machine breaks down and we just have to fix it and keep going. It’s honest work and we are right there on the ground. Most of us grew up around farms so we know how it goes. We just want to get the fruit processed and sold.
