Faiz Clinic

Our clinic is at the place everyone calls Apna Corner. It’s one of those spots in the neighborhood where everyone seems to meet up or pass through at some point in the day. Because we are right at Apna Corner, we get a lot of people just walking in because they saw the sign while they were out doing their shopping or running errands. The clinic itself is quite small and we haven't done much to the interior in a long time, but it serves its purpose. There’s a desk for the paperwork and a few chairs that have seen better days. We don't really have a big team here, so usually, it's just me or one other person handling everything. The traffic outside can be a bit much sometimes, especially during the rush hour when everyone is trying to get around the corner at once. You can hear the horns and the people shouting to each other, but once you step inside, it’s a bit calmer. We’ve been here long enough that we don’t really need to tell people where we are; saying the name of the corner is enough for any rickshaw driver to know exactly where to go. It’s a very local feel, not like those big clinics in the malls. We know the people who live in the apartments nearby and we know their kids too. It’s just a regular part of the day for us, sitting here and waiting for the next person.
