District Woman Hospital Jalna

The District Woman Hospital in Jalna is a noisy, busy place, but in a way that feels full of life. We are right near the other woman hospital building, so there is always a lot of movement between the two. Jalna is a place that gets very dusty, and you can see it on the window sills no matter how often we wipe them down. The hospital is mainly full of mothers and children. There is always the sound of a baby crying somewhere or women chatting while they wait their turn. We don't have any soft lighting or fancy waiting rooms. It is just rows of plastic chairs and a lot of people standing in the hallways. The heat in the afternoon can be quite something, and everyone is usually fanning themselves with pieces of paper. We have a lot of nurses who have worked here since they were young, and they basically run the place. They know every corner of this building. It isn’t a polished or corporate environment at all. It is a bit messy and very loud, but it is a vital part of the town. We don't have a mission statement on the wall or anything like that. We just have a lot of patients and a lot of work to do every single day. People know us, and we know them, and that is just how the hospital stays going. It is just a part of the daily life in Jalna.
