Balaji Diamond Industry

We are located over at N- 9 L- 159/4 Cidco Shivaji Nagar on Jalgaon Road. It is right near the Renuka Mata Temple, which makes it easy for people to find us. This isn't a showroom with fancy carpets or anything like that. It's more of a workspace where the real labor happens. We deal with diamonds and the industrial side of things at Balaji Diamond Industry. There is always the sound of machines humming in the background while we work. Sometimes the dust from the work gets on everything, so we spend a lot of time cleaning up. The area here in Cidco is usually busy with people going to the temple or commuting. We start our day early when it’s still a bit cool outside. The sun can get really harsh on Jalgaon Road in the afternoons. Most of the staff has been with us for years. We just sit at our benches and focus on the stones. It takes a lot of patience to do this kind of work right. We don't talk much while working because you need to concentrate. Sometimes we take a break and go across the street for some snacks. It’s a straightforward business. We don’t have any big signs or anything flashy outside. We just have the name on the door and we stick to our schedule. It is a steady way to make a living and we are glad to be in this neighborhood near the temple.
