Down here in the MIDC area of Chikalthana, things stay pretty busy at our workshop. Texas Lifestyle Furniture Pvt. Ltd. is located at A-4/2/2 and if you walk in, the first thing you’ll notice is the smell of wood and maybe some polish. It’s been our spot in Aurangabad for quite some time. We spend most of our hours looking at designs and trying to get the joints to fit just right. It’s hard work, especially when the Maharashtra heat picks up in the afternoons. Our floor is usually covered in sawdust by noon, and someone is always sweeping it up just for it to get messy again ten minutes later. We make chairs, tables, and other bits for homes, nothing too crazy but built to stay together. Most of our guys have been working with wood since they were kids, so they know the difference between a good plank and a bad one. We don’t have a big fancy showroom with lights; we just have the factory where the real work happens. Sometimes a delivery truck gets stuck in the narrow lane outside, and we all have to go out and help move things along. It’s a bit chaotic but it’s our daily life. We don't spend much time on the computer, mostly we are just using our hands and making sure the furniture is sturdy enough for a family to use. It keeps us occupied and the days go by quickly.
