Puja Engineering

Our shop is tucked away at E16/1/1 in the MIDC Chikalthana area. If you know the industrial zone, you know it’s a lot of metal and grease. Puja Engineering is basically a workshop where we spend most of the time fixing things or cutting steel. It’s dirty work, and our hands are usually stained with oil by ten in the morning. We have a few lathes and some old drills that have been with us since we opened. They’re reliable, even if they make a lot of noise. The roof gets pretty hot in the afternoons, so we usually take a longer break then. We don't have a receptionist or a waiting room. Usually, if someone comes by, they just walk into the main floor and shout over the machines. The floor is always a bit slippery with cooling fluid, so you have to watch your step when you walk in. Most of our tools are older than the guys using them, but they’re solid steel and don't break down like the new plastic stuff does. We have a small radio that plays local stations, but it’s hard to hear over the grinding. People ask if we’re going to expand, but we like the size we are. It’s easy to manage and we know every job that goes out the door personally. We just keep our heads down and get the metalwork finished for whoever needs it that week.
