Balaji Hardware & Sanitary

Balaji Hardware & Sanitary is our small shop at Shop No 1 on the ground floor of Mita Apartment in Mondha. It isn't a huge place, but we pack a lot into it. We have shelves filled with all sorts of hardware items, from small screws to bigger sanitary fittings. Most days start early here because people in Mondha like to get their supplies before work begins. It gets a bit crowded inside when more than three people walk in at once. We spend a lot of time searching through bins to find that one specific washer or bolt a customer needs. The ground floor location is helpful since some of the pipes and sinks we carry are quite heavy. We don’t have a fancy display or anything. It is mostly just stacks of boxes and rows of tools. The noise from the street is constant, but we have gotten used to it over the years. We keep a simple ledger to track what goes out. Some days are slow and we just sit by the door watching the traffic go by Mita Apartment. Other days, we barely have time to drink our tea. We aren't doing anything special, just selling the things people need for their homes and repairs. If we don’t have something in stock, we try to get it by the next week. It’s a straightforward way to earn a living in this part of town.
