Aarit Rural Development And Planning Foundation

Aarit Rural Development and Planning Foundation is based out of Plot 15 in the Ekta Housing Society. We are in Maroti Nagar, which is over in Aurangabad. Being in Maharashtra, we see a lot of different things happening in the rural areas around us. Our group isn't made up of people from far away. We all live here. We know the local roads and the local problems. We spend a lot of time planning, but it isn't the kind of planning you see in big city offices. We sit down with a map of the district and try to figure out how to make things work better for the villages. It’s slow work. Sometimes we spend hours just talking to one person about their water supply or their crops. The office in Ekta Housing Society is simple. We have a few desks and a lot of files. Aurangabad is a place with a lot of history, and we feel like we’re just adding a small chapter to it. We don't use big words or complicated theories. We just look at what’s in front of us and try to find a way forward. It’s about the community here. We aren't trying to be the biggest foundation out there. We just want to be the one that actually knows the names of the people we are working with. That matters more to us than anything.
