You can find us in Aurangabad, tucked away behind Jain Sweets in the Jai Vishwa Bharti Colony. It’s a good spot because everyone knows where the sweet shop is, so they never get lost trying to find our kitchen. We started Astha Catering & Events because we liked the idea of being part of people's big days, even if it means we are the ones sweating over large pots in the back. The mornings here start really early, usually before the sun is even up, because there is always something that needs to be chopped, stirred, or packed into the vans. It is hard work and our hands usually smell like spices by the end of the day. The office part of the building is small and often piled high with notebooks and menu plans that we keep changing. We don't really do the whole corporate thing; we just talk to people like they are our neighbors. Sometimes a wedding gets moved at the last minute or a client changes their mind about the snacks, and we just have to scramble to make it work. Aurangabad is a busy place and we are constantly driving back and forth between the colony and various venues around the city. It isn't a perfect system, but we have our own way of doing things that seems to keep everyone fed and happy enough.
